Chapter One - Nothing Better to Do

“Hey, who turned down the lights?” Rawr07 nervously said while she was painting. A loud crash of thunder just struck and the windows lit up with lightning. A thunderstorm started in Belaya, where Rawr07’s den was located. The music on the radio paused as the emergency alert system sounded. She heard a knock on the door. She was hesitant to open it but then was comforted by the fact that her friend’s face was peeking through the window. Rawr07 opened the door and saw umbrellas with two jammers under them: Rattles and Princessbg! “Oh hello! What brings you in during a thunderstorm?” Rawr07 greeted her friends.

“We had nothing better to do,” Rattles said. Princessbg nodded. “Uh-huh. I came here when the first thunder crashed. I don’t like thunder.” Rawr07 looked at Rattles. “I followed Princess here when I saw her. You know me, I can’t miss out on a party!” Rattles said. “Well, it isn’t a party, but surely you can stay,” Rawr07 brought the friends in. She made hot cocoa while they sat by the couch. More thunder and lightning came. The sound of rain was soothing as well as the hot cocoa. Princess saw the painting easel. “How about we paint?” she said, looking at the easel. “But there is only one easel,” Rattles said. Rawr07 smiled. She grabbed a second easel which made her smile travel to Rattles’ face. The two visitors painted through the night. They both enjoyed painting famous paintings like the Mona Liza and the Peck with the Pearl Earring. Rawr07 pulled up refrences of them on her laptop. Morning came. The rain stopped, and all of the friends had fallen asleep on the floor. Another knock on the door awoke them. Rawr07 was startled awake. “My package!” She yelled, which awoken the others. Rawr07 ran to the door and opened it. The package was left there. “Wha.. what package..?” Rattles whispered to himself. “Uh.. a package..?” Princess mumbled. Rawr07 took it in. The group gathered around it. Rawr07 carefully opened the package and an easel came out. “Ugh. Another lame easel,” Rattles said. Princess was excited though. “A new easel? Ohh, I call dibs!” She grabbed the paintbrush and brushed a stroke.

Chapter Two - The Pixel Easel

Instead of a plain brushstroke, blocks appeared in a line! Princess was amazed. “What is this?!” Rawr07 laughed. “It’s a pixel easel. It was new in stores so I ordered it. Do you like it?” Rattles looked over. “Hey, I want to try it too!” He grabbed the brush and painted a forest on the pixel easel. “Omg, I love it! I need one for myself!” Princess went online and saw the pixel easel was two diamonds. “Maybe I’ll wait until tomorrow when I get my diamonds in the daily spin..” Princess said. Rattles continued to paint the forest. Rawr07 was amazed at his artwork. “Rattles, you have natural pixel painter talent! This is awesome!” Rattles was flattered. “Oh, this? It’s nothing,” Rattles said, trying to hide how happy he was. Princess smiled. “How about I get us some donuts? I heard a place with good reviews is near us. Any donuts you want?” “I’d like glazed with chocolate filled. They are my favorite,” Rattles said. “And I’d love some strawberry with sprinkles! Sprinkles make EVERYTHING better,” Rawr07 added. “Okay! Bye guys,” Princess said. Later, she came back with all their donuts. They ate them very fast. The donuts were very well made. “Yummy!” Rattles said. “How much did they cost?” He asked. “Only 300 gems. 50 gems per donut! That’s pretty cheap.” Princess said. “You gotta say, these are perfect for 300 gems!” Rawr07 exclaimed. “Well, I think it’s time to go home,” Rattles said. “I guess so. Get your umbrellas. Bye guys!” Rawr07 yelled. “Bye Rawrz!” They both hollered as they left. After the closed the door, Rawr07 took the pixel painting that Rattles made off the easel and brought it with her to the Art Studio, where she could buy a frame for it. It cost two diamonds, but she really wanted to hang it up. She bought a pretty rainbow pixel frame which tied everything in. “This will be an awesome decoration!” Rawr07 squealed. She paid the two diamonds, and left for her den. She excitedly hung the painting up, and spent a whole minute staring at the painting. Rawr07 had to work though, so she asked Princess if she could use her restaurant den. She got people in. Being a waitress alone is very hard though. At least, when all the customers were done, Rawr07 had earned four diamonds and 650 gems in tips. Rawr07 was very generous and let Princess have 300 gems to pay for the donuts. But then, when she was done, Rawr07 found something stuck to the donut box…

 

Chapter Three - The Masterpiece Contest

“What is this?” Rawr07 said. “Masterpiece Contest? Hmm…” Rawr07 had an idea. She went and got the phone. First she called Rattles. “Hello. Is this Rattles?” Rawr07 asked through the phone. “Yeah, it’s me. What’s up?” Rattles answered. “I heard of a masterpiece contest. Do you want to enter?” Rawr07 replied. “Sure. Where and when do I turn it in?” Rattles asked. “It says on the back, hold on…” Rawr07 paused to go and get the paper to read the back. When she went back on the phone, Rattles interrupted. “On the back? Of a paper? Where did you find the information about this contest?” “I found it taped to the donut box.” Rawr07 answered. “We’ll need to do some investigation. Can you ask Tay if she got the paper too? I know she had donuts this morning because I went to her house to borrow something when she left.” Rattles explained. “Okay. I’ll call you again when I find out.” Rawr07 said. She hung up. Rawr07 called Tay. “Hey Tay?” Rawr07 said. “Yeah?” Tay said. “Do you have a paper that advertises a masterpiece contest?” Rawr07 asked. “Yup, Rawrz. I got it with my donuts,” Tay replied. “Okay, thanks Tay. Bye!” Rawr07 said. “Bye!” Tay said. Rawr07 called Rattles back. “Hi Rattles. Tay said she did have it, so it isn’t a prank or anything.” Rawr07 told Rattles. “Okay, when and where..?” Rattles asked impatiently. “It says you should drop it off at the table at the Summer Carnival, and it’s due in two days.” Rawr07 said. “Ok, Bye!” Rattles said. “Bye!” Rawr07 exclaimed. She hung up again. Then Rawr07 called Princess. “Hey Princess!” Rawr07 greeted Princess. “Oh, hi Rawrz!” Princess replied. “There is a masterpiece contest happening! It’s due in two days, and you can turn it in at the table in the Summer Carnival,” Rawr07 explained. “Okay, thanks! I am surely going to make a masterpiece!” Princess said. “Bye!” Rawr07 told Princess. “Bye byeee!” Princess told Rawr07. Rawr07 knew that they were both going to make awesome masterpieces.

Chapter Four - Competition

The two were working on their masterpieces. Rawr07, on the other hand, was just working in her garden. Rawr07 didn’t care to win the 10,000 gems, though they all agreed if someone won they would split the gems up. Princess was making a regular masterpiece, because pixels weren’t her thing. She couldn’t incorporate the tiny details in one big block. But on the other hand, Rattles loves pixel painting, because it hides the fact he doesn’t put the details. But soon he found out that pixel painting wasn’t allowed, so he started to make the masterpiece. Rattles and Princess both spent hours on end just painting. They both did their best job. Whenever someone called them they had to talk while painting. Rawr07 was fed up though because both Princess and Rattles were in her house using her easels and only the pixel paint easel was left. Since Rawr07 was tired of being in her house, she walked to Tay’s house. All the friends, Rattles, Princess, and Rawr07 all lived in Belaya, but Tay lived in Chimbu- which was next to Belaya, but still was quite the walk. When Rawr07 arrived, Tay was surprised to see her. “Rawr, what are you doing here? With all the gardening you have to finish, I am surprised that you’re here.” Tay asked. “Well, it’s just that I am bored with both Rattles and Princess in my house, using my chairs to paint, and they aren’t available to hangout. And painting is one of my favorite hobbies!” Rawr07 complained. “Oh, it’s alright. You can stay the night. Just use my phone to call Princess and Rattles that you’ll be staying here.” Tay said, caringly. That’s what Rawr07 did. She called Princess and Rattles, then went to bed at Tay’s. She used one of Tay’s sleeping bags. When she woke up, it was the big day… the day that they turned in the masterpieces. Rawr07 got dressed and had breakfast at Tay’s. Tay is a great cook and made homemade muffins for Rawr07. “You know- today’s a big day. I want you to wish both Rattles and Princess good luck for me, would ya?” Tay asked. “Okay, sure. I’m so excited to see what they made. I gotta go now, because the voting starts in an hour. You should come, because I can only vote for one person.” Rawr07 replied. Tay agreed to come, so she got dressed. “It’ll be faster if we go by car,” Tay said. They hopped in the car and left to pick up Rattles and Princess. Then they arrived at the Summer Carnival…

Chapter Five - A True Masterpiece

Princess and Rattles placed their masterpiece in a pile of other masterpieces. “I’m excited to see who will win,” A voice on a speaker said. “Please take a paper and write your chosen artist’s name on it. Then please place it in the box. You can find an artist’s name on the frame of the painting. Good luck and happy voting!” After the announcement, a crowd of people flooded to the voting area. “Okay,” Rawr07 said quickly, “You vote for Rattles and I’ll vote for Princess.” “Sure thing,” Said Tay. They both voted and sat down in a chair in front of the stage. They all waited until the curtains opened. “Ladies and gentlemen..” The person on stage said. “Grrrrr…” Growled a pet dog. “And pets,” The person on stage added. “We are proud to announce the winners!” Everyone cheered out of excitement. “The third place prize goes to… XxIamawesomexX!” Everyone clapped. “The second place prize goes to… Commonusername123!” Everyone cheered. “Well, I guess only one of you is going to place,” Tay whispered. “And now, what you have all been waiting for…” Everyone was dead silent. “The one and only first place winner is…” She didn’t say. Everyone was getting impatient. Children were cry- okay, not that bad. But still. The person on stage was whispering to someone behind the curtains. Nobody knew what was going on. Then, she spoke up. “The TWO and only first place winners are… PRINCESSBG AND RATTLESPUD2004!” Everyone screamed and hooted and hollered and cheered and clapped and EVERYTHING! It was amazing. “Yeah!!” Rawr07 and Tay yelled. “Well, I guess your art is a true masterpiece,” Tay said.
