Briar & Jackson: Book Two

~ Introduction ~

Briar and Jackson were happy as they’d ever been in their lives. Jackson officially moved to Greely’s breed with Briar and for once in his life didn’t have to be afraid of a terrible leader. Briar once again felt loved as much as the bears loved her and although her parents were gone, she was starting to accept it. Everything was going fine and you might even say great! But will one single miracle cause it to all fall apart?

~ Chapter One ~

Jackson and Briar were enjoying breakfast together. It was early morning. The birds were singing and the sky was clear. The sunlight from the cottage’s windows shined on Briar’s caramel colored fur making her look even more beautiful. Secretly, this had been the reason Jackson always insisted they had their morning meal at her cottage. “Briar, you’re as beautiful as the flowers that surround our camp,” He murmured but still loud enough to a point where Briar could hear. Briar flashbacked to when she was still a wolf pup and her parents were still alive. “You’re as beautiful as the Briars that surround our home, and therefore you should be named Briar.” Her mom said her voice filled with love. Little Briar climbed onto her mom’s back giggling.
“Briar huh? I like it! Can we go for another ride?!” The flashback ended and she was back at her home. Jackson was waiting for a response. “Thank you.. Jackson..” she muttered. Jackson looked at her. “Are you ok?” Currently Jackson didn’t know about the bears. Briar always kept it to herself trying to just forget it. Somehow the painful memories always came back. “Yeah I’m fine! It’s time for training anyway, let’s go!”

~ Chapter Two ~

Briar and Jackson headed out to training camp. The flashback wasn’t her first. In fact she always had them! She was glad she had Jackson by her side to deal with the memories. Even if he didn’t know the reason she had them he still helped her get through them!
